Pool Repair Linear Auchenflower

The up-market Auchenflower Apartments are situated on Coronation Drive overlooking the Brisbane River. The shared pool within the complex was experiencing some deterioration and we were approached to come and assess it and make any necessary repairs.

Upon inspection it was noted that the pool had a decorative cement render with waterline tiles and concourse pavers. Movement of the coping pavers plus cracking and delamination of the waterline tiles and render was evident in a number of locations.

Izzat engineers undertook a detail investigation and concluded that the defects were generally related to poor construction/detailing of finishes. Repair recommendations were agreed and the remedial work began.

All existing render, waterline tiles and pavers were removed and the surface suitably prepared. This included structural crack stitching of the concourse suspended slab. A primary and secondary waterproof layer was then applied before new render tiles and pavers were installed.
