The new residence was constructed on a highly visible, small site close to Newcastle Baths and Crowie Hole.

Izzat Consulting Engineers carried out structural and stormwater engineering design in conjunction with Bourne Blue Architecture. Project specific engineering challenges included future wave impact due to sea level rise, harsh durability considerations, large pine trees on the boundary that had to be maintained and a hidden stormwater system including the tank being located below the house.

During construction Izzat carried out periodic inspections and also completed dilapidation inspections of nearby buildings. Construction was challenging due to the house filling the entire site and also the busy one way road being the only access.

The residence was successfully completed in 2022.
