Izzat Consulting Engineers were engaged by Liverpool City Council to assess the condition and advise on appropriate structural remediation of the Northumberland St Carpark.

Izzat adopted a staged approach to the works. The initial phase consisted of a site investigation to identify the root cause of the structural defects and deterioration, which were typically associated with water entry along primary and secondary movement joints within the structure. Izzat prepared technical specifications and drawings for the rectification of structural deficiencies, and waterproofing of key areas within the car park structure.

Izzat also provided superintendent services for the remedial works completed by Buildcorp Asset Solutions. These services included inspection and supervision of works, as well as providing technical support to the contractor.
