New large multi storey residence with two pavilions located above Dudley Beach. A 25m long suspended lap pool was constructed on the roof of one of the pavilions, which features an internal glass viewing panel. Structural and civil design and documentation of steel, timber, masonry and concrete building elements. Site specific challenges included slope stability issues, mine subsidence requirements, bush fire requirements, high wind loads and durability issues due to the exposed location.

Civil engineering design of extensive retaining walls and rock bolting was required for the large landscaped areas.

Construction inspections were carried out at critical stages, with the works taking several years to complete as a result of site access constraints. The project was completed in 2009.
