ConvaTech Shuttle Conveyor

Izzat Consulting Engineers was engaged by ConvaTech to provide structural certification of a shuttle conveyor. The conveyor is used to convey granular fertilizer directly into trucks parked below. A screw conveyor transfers fertilizer into a skirt box, connected to the screw conveyor. This skirt box has the ability to move along the  length of the conveyor allowing material to be dropped onto the conveyor belt at any point along the gantry. The conveyor belt can run in both directions and the entire unit also has the ability to move along the length of the supporting runway beam.
